Teleseminar Speaker Bios

Lucille Beseler, MS, RD, LDN, CDE, is the owner of Family Nutrition Center of South Florida, a private practice based in Margate, Florida with additional offices in Hollywood and West Palm Beach. She is also the current president of the Florida Dietetic Association. Beseler received her M.S. in Nutrition from New York University. With five RDs and three administrative staff, Beseler’s private practice cares for all age groups and serves approximately 3,500 patients per year. In addition to office-based counseling, Beseler’s practice has a Home Care Division, a Wellness Division, and an event staffing division specializing in health and nutrition related events. In 2007 Beseler was the recipient of the prestigious Florida Dietetic Association Public Service Award. She currently serves on many governing boards and nutrition committees throughout the state of Florida.

Carolyn Cochran, MS, RD, CDE, LD is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator with an expertise in treating patients with chronic kidney disease. She received her B.S. in Food & Nutrition and M.S in Home Economics from Texas Tech University. In addition to working with the Dallas Nephrology Associates where she works with CKD and nephrolithiasis patients, Cochran is a clinical dietitian for the Dallas Transplant Institute where she treats pre-and post-kidney transplant patients. Cochran serves on ADA’s Renal Practice Group, is involved with the Texas Dietetic Association and holds a national position with National Kidney Foundation. She is a published author whose work has appeared in various ADA publications and journals across the country.
